I'm writing this article anyway for my job duties, so I will just keep it here as well.

Hey there! Hot winter, innit? So let’s just stay tuned with the ‘news’ from the outside. Since December, yeah.

Guess one thing they have in common. It starts with A

Releases in December & January

Path of Exile 2

(Steam) - 27.75€

Huge success! It is meant to be F2P yet there are 500000 online in Steam who paid for EA. If you still think that EA isn’t release you have something to reconsider. It seems even more impressive if you realize that PoE2 EA is accessible not only in Steam, but also in EGS, PS5 and XBox.

Marvel Rivals

(Steam) - Free

NetEase's hero shooter finally launched in December and... well, it's complicated. The game hit impressive numbers with 439,000+ concurrent players on Steam within hours of launch, but there's more to this story than just numbers.

The most viral community take? "It's what happens when you mix Overwatch with Marvel and somehow don't mess it up completely." Though that's setting aside the whole NetEase factor, which... well, you know how that usually goes

MiSide

(Steam) - 14.79€

MiSide has become one of the biggest indie success stories of late 2024, launching on December 11th. This game received huge positive feedback and gained significant popularity among streamers and content creators while drew comparisons to Doki Doki Literature Club, though with different approaches to horror

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

(Steam) - 70€

The game reached #2 in US sales during its launch week, trailing only Call of Duty, which is particularly impressive considering its day-one availability on Game Pass. Players have praised its authentic Indiana Jones atmosphere and storytelling, with many considering it among the best licensed games ever made. Worth a shot I’d say.

Oh, and what’s most interesting about this game is that Critics and Players finally share their opinion!

It's rare to see such unity among critics and players

What to expect in February

  1. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - 60€ - February 4
  2. Civilization VII - 70€ - Feb 11, nice gift for your Valentine’s Day.
  3. Avowed - 70€ - Feb 18
  4. Monster Hunter Wilds - 70€ - Feb 28 and two beta-tests before on Feb 6 and Feb 13

See you later, alligator!
